Invitation to a conference about the mortality of the soul and the true penalty for the sin (death and not eternal torment in the so called hellfire)


Job 13:7 Young's Literal Translation
"For God do ye speak perverseness? And for Him do ye speak deceit?"



The widespread conception of the state of the dead in both Christian and other cultures can be summed up as follows: when a man dies, his soul survives death, and according to good or bad deeds goes either to hell or to heaven.
• But does the Bible claim that after death, man does not cease to exist and can live without resurrection?
• Does the Scripture teach the teaching of an immortal soul that does not need resurrection?
• Are the wicked tormented in the fire before the resurrection or after the resurrection?


For all these questions, we will try to respond by the grace of God, with the help of the Word of God, into the conference that will be held this year on these subjects.


We do not apologize for sinners, but we invite them to repent, escaping by the resurrection from the wages of sin: death.
Unfortunately, the scribes in the Catholic Church have altered certain Bible passages to support these dogmas. At this conference, the main changes made by these scribes to support their doctrines will be reviewed.


Example:
I have a question from a brother working in England, linked to a tract we distribute.
His question was:
"In the tract it is said that in the Bible Codex Vaticanus of the fourth century there is a comma in the verse in Luke 23:43, but the comma was invented only in the 9th century ..."


The documented answer proving that the source of the brother is erroneous: "In the 3rd century BC, Aristophanes of Byzantium invented a system of single dots (distinctiones) that separated verses (colometry) and indicated the amount of breath needed to complete each fragment of text when reading aloud.[3] The different lengths were signified by a dot at the bottom, middle, or top of the line. For a short passage (a komma), a media distinctio dot was placed mid-level ( · ). This is the origin of the concept of a comma, although the name came to be used for the mark itself instead of the clause it separated."

So the comma was not invented in the 9th century, but unfortunately this stereotype is being circulated in different places. And now let's see how it was placed in the Vatican Codex Bible (an old Bible written in the Vatican City of Rome, Rome, Italy):
Luke 23:43 Bible Codex Vaticanus "Amēn (Amen) soi (to you) legō (say) sēmeron (today), met '(with) emou (mine) esē (you will be) en (in) Paradeisō (Paradise)."

"Amēn soi legō sēmeron, met 'emou esē en to Paradeisō."
"Amen I tell you today, with me you will be in Paradise."


The Codex Vatican Bible is not the only ancient resource where the comma appears in this order. We have the testimony of a fourth-century Aramaic Gospel (Codex Curetonianus) and some ancient Greek texts, both biblical manuscripts and quotes from various church writers from antiquity.

For the punctuation marks in Luke 23:43, three possibilities have been
offered: to put a comma before the word "today," to put it after "today,"
or to put a comma both before and after "today." -- See "Understanding and
Translating 'Today' in Luke 23.43," by J. Hong, published in "The Bible
Translator," Vol. 46, 1995, pp. 408-417.

Early Greek manuscripts had no punctuation, but occasionally it is found
in some MSS, and this is the case here, where B (the Vatican 1209) has a
lower point ((hypostigme) after semeron. Regarding the punctuation used by
this MS, it was noted that in general "B has the higher point as a period,
the lower point for a shorter pause." (A. T. Robertson, "A Grammar of the
Greek New Testament," Nashville, 1934, p. 242) The ink of the uncial
letters in codex B was at one time a faded brown color, and in a later
century a scribe traced over many of the letters and punctuation marks.
However, in Luke 23:43 the ink of the lower point is the same as the
letters of the text, and thus it can be traced back to the fourth century
C.E.
The Vatican 1209 uses punctuation marks also in other places. Thus, at
Romans 8:5, ABCL and 26 cursives have a point after sarka. Does anybody
know any MS that displays some kind of punctuation in Luke 23:43, beside
the Vatican 1209?
The Curetonian Syriac (fifth century C.E.) renders Luke 23:43: "Amen,
I say to thee to-day that with me thou shalt be in the Garden of
Eden.'" -- F. C. Burkitt, "The Curetonian Version of the Four Gospels," Vol.
I, Cambridge, 1904.
Below I am quoting from several Greek sources, in transliteration and
providing an English translation. I would appreciate if improvements would
be offered for the English renderings.
“Tines men houtos anaginoskousin* _Amen lego soi semeron*_ kai
hypostizousin* eita epipherousin, hotiet' emou ese e to paradeiso._”
("Some indeed read this way: 'Truly I tell you today,' and put a comma;

Therefore, at least from the fourth century C.E. until well into the
twelfth century C.E. there were readers who understood the text at Luke
23:43 as "Truly I tell you today, You will be with me in Paradise." On
that very day, when Jesus died, he was in Sheol or Hades, and not in
Paradise. (Psalms 16:8-11; Acts 2:22-32) He was dead and in the tomb
until the third day and was then resurrected as "the firstfruits" of the
resurrection. (Acts 10:40; 1 Corinthians 15:20; Colossians 1:18) Thus, the
word "today" at Luke 23:43 does not give the time of the evildoer's being
with Jesus in Paradise.
The death of Jesus Christ on that day was a most important event in human
history. It opened to mankind the prospect of gaining everlasting life in
Paradise conditions. A few hours before on that very day, during a simple
ceremony, Jesus used wine and unleavened bread as symbols of his loving
human sacrifice; then he told his disciples: "Keep doing this in
remembrance of me." (Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26) It was only as a
result of Jesus' impending sacrificial death on that day that such promise
to the evildoer was possible.

81. Conferinţă pe tematica acestui blog

Conferinţă
Tematică: 
Există suflet nemuritor sau suflet muritor?
Plata păcatului este moartea sau chinul veşnic?

Concepția larg răspândită cu privire la starea morților atât în cultele creștine, cât și în celelelalte, poate fi rezumată după cum urmează: când un om moare, sufletul lui supraviețuiește morții, iar în funcție de faptele bune sau rele, merge fie în iad fie în rai.
• Dar susține Biblia că după moarte, omul nu-și încetează existența și poate trăi fără înviere?
• Apare în Sfânta Scriptură învățătura despre un suflet nemuritor, ce nu are nevoie de înviere?
• De asemenea, sunt cei răi chinuiți în foc înainte de înviere sau după înviere?
La toate aceste întrebări vom încerca să răspundem prin harul lui Dumnezeu, cu ajutorul Cuvântului lui Dumnezeu la conferinţa ce va avea loc în acest an pe aceste subiecte. 

Noi nu scuzăm păcătoșii, ci îi invităm să se pocăiască, scăpând - prin înviere - de plata păcatului: moartea.
Din păcate, scribii din Biserica Catolică au modificat anumite pasaje biblice pentru a sprijini aceste dogme. La această conferinţă vor fi trecute în revistă principalele modificări făcute de aceşti scribi pentru a-şi sprijini dogmele lor.

De exemplu:
Am primit o întrebare de la un frate ce lucrează în Anglia, legat de un tract distribuit de noi.
Intrebarea lui era:
"În tract se spune că în Biblia Codex Vaticanus din secolul IV există virgulă în versetul de la Luca 23:43, pe când virgula a fost inventată doar în secolul IX..."

Răspunsul documentat care dovedeşte că sursa fratelui este eronată: 
"În secolul al III-lea î.Hr., Aristofan din Bizanț a inventat un sistem de puncte singulare (distinse) care au separat versete (colometria) și au indicat cantitatea de suflare necesară pentru a completa fiecare fragment de text atunci când citea cu voce tare. Diferitele lungimi au fost semnificate de un punct la partea de jos, mijlocul sau partea de sus a liniei. Pentru un pasaj scurt (o comma), un distincțio punct media a fost plasat la mijlocul nivelului (·). Aceasta este originea conceptului de virgulă, deși numele a ajuns să fie folosit pentru marca însăși în locul clasei pe care a separat-o."

Asadar virgula nu a fost inventată în secolul IX, ce a apărut nou a fost doar forma ei, însă din păcate această stereotipie se vehiculeaza în diferite locuri. Şi acum să vedem cum a fost ea plasată în Biblia Codex Vaticanus (o Biblie veche scrisă în limba greacă, de la Cetatea Vatican, Roma, Italia):
Luca 23:43 Biblia Codex Vaticanus "Amēn (Amin) soi (tie) legō (iti spun) sēmeron (astazi), met’ (cu) emou (mine) esē (vei fi) en (in) tō Paradeisō (Paradis)."

"Amēn soi legō sēmeron, met’ emou esē en tō Paradeisō."
"Amin tie iti spun astazi, cu mine vei fi in Paradis."

Biblia Codex Vaticanus nu este singura resursă antică unde apare virgula în această ordine. Avem mărturia unui Evangheliar aramaic tot din secolul IV (Codex Curetonianus) şi câteva texte antice greceşti, atât manuscrise biblice cât şi citate de la diferiţi scriitori bisericeşti din antichitate.

80. Eşti nelămurit, dacă Ilie şi Moise sunt morți sau trăiesc încă?

Toţi aceştia sunt morţi şi aşteaptă fericita înviere la viaţă vesnică. Amin!
Da, aşa scrie în Biblia voastră foarte clar: "Căci, precum în Adam TOŢI mor, aşa şi în Hristos toţi vor învia." 1Cor. 15:22.

Acest text este clar şi exclude excepţiile. Moartea are putere asupra tuturor oamenilor, indiferent ce trăire au avut, căci nimeni dintre oameni, nici aceştia, nu au atins perfecţiunea trăirii, dorită de Dumnezeu. Şi aceştia au păcătuit, meritând moartea, deoarece "Plata păcatului este moartea". Aşadar transfigurarea de pe acel munte în care Domnul Isus s-a arătat în slavă alături de Moise şi Ilie trebuie înţeles în acest context, acolo fiind vorba de o vedenie (revelaţie, exact ca şi în cartea Apocalipsa). 

De ce nu pot fi totuşi excepţii? 
Apostolul explică clar: "De aceea, după cum printr-un singur om a intrat păcatul în lume, şi prin păcat a intrat moartea, astfel moartea a trecut asupra tuturor oamenilor, din pricină că TOŢI au păcătuit…" Romani 5:12 

N-a păcătuit Moise, n-a păcătuit Ilie? Au păcătuit. Ei vedeti? Nu putem forţa textul Bibliei acolo unde vorbeşte clar, pentru a ne aventura în lucrurile mai greu de înţeles, cum ar fi vedeniile, de dragul unor dogme. Nici chiar Petru nu ştia ce spune: "Nu ştia ce spune." (Luca 9:33) Toţi cei care sustin că Moise şi Ilie trăiesc şi nu au murit, sustin un neadevăr, negând textul clar al Bibliei.

  • Si iata ca li s-au aratat Moise si Ilie, stand de vorba cu El. (Mat.17:3)
  • Petru a luat cuvantul si a zis lui Isus: "Doamne, este bine sa fim aici; daca vrei, am sa fac aici trei colibe: una pentru Tine, una pentru Moise si una pentru Ilie." (Mat.17:4)
  • Ilie li s-a aratat impreuna cu Moise si statea de vorba cu Isus. (Marc.9:4)
  • Petru a luat cuvantul si a zis lui Isus: "Invatatorule, este bine sa stam aici; sa facem trei colibe: una pentru Tine, una pentru Moise, si una pentru Ilie." (Marc.9:5)
  • Si iata ca stateau de vorba cu El doi barbati: erau Moise si Ilie, (Luc.9:30)
  • In clipa cand se desparteau barbatii acestia de Isus, Petru a zis lui Isus: "Invatatorule, este bine sa fim aici; sa facem trei colibe: una pentru Tine, una pentru Moise, si una pentru Ilie." Nu ştia ce spune. (Luc.9:33
Pe de alta parte, trebuie sa fim atenţi şi la acurateţea traducerilor pe care le folosim, de aceea este nevoie să folosim mai multe traduceri, în special interlineare, ca să nu cădem în greşelile făcute de traducători, fie intenţionat, fie neintenţionat. 
Vă dau un exemplu: 
Atât BOR (Biblia Ortodoxă Română) cât şi BVC (Biblia Versiunea Cornilescu) redau cuvinte în plus la Evrei 11:5, acestea fiind "de pe pământ", dând o anumită tendinţă de interpretare textului, deşi cuvintele în cauză nu apar în textul de referinţă grecesc (Nestle-Aland, Novum Testamentum Graece Et Latine, 28th Edition). 
Dragilor, nu se poate trişa sau jongla cu textul biblic, de dragul dogmelor omeneşti. Deci nimeni care iubeşte adevărul să nu se lase manipulat de traducători. 

BVC: "Prin credinţă a fost mutat Enoh de pe pământ, ca să nu vadă moartea. Şi n-a mai fost găsit, pentru că Dumnezeu îl mutase. Căci înainte de mutarea lui, primise mărturia că este plăcut lui Dumnezeu." Evrei 11:5


BOR: "Prin credinţă, Enoh a fost luat de pe pământ ca să nu vadă moartea, şi nu s-a mai aflat, pentru că Dumnezeu îl strămutase, căci mai înainte de a-l strămuta, el a avut mărturie că a bine-plăcut lui Dumnezeu." Evrei 11:5

NTR (Noua Traducere Românească) respectă textul de referinţă grecesc (în privinţa cuvintelor menţionate mai sus): 
"Prin credinţă a fost luat Enoh, ca să nu vadă moartea. Şi n-a mai fost găsit, pentru că Dumnezeu l-a luat. Căci înainte de strămutarea lui s-a depus mărturie că Îi era plăcut lui Dumnezeu." Evrei 11:5

Where do you end up when your spiritual walk takes a U-turn?

Courage and strength highlight each chapter of this story as we watch one man lead his family through the most difficult path of all; the right one. How does a humble man, without pretense or guile, open up the minds of folks so set in their ways that they cannot bear to hear any truth but their own?

Laced with humor and colored with a dash of southern charm, this amazing drama is sure to be a classic reminder that we must set aside prejudices in all areas of our lives if we truly seek to find the truth. Edward Fudge has diligently dedicated his life to deliberately digging deeper into the scriptures towards a more comprehensive understanding of God. What he finds challenges his core beliefs and forces him to defend the truth in the face of unfamiliar opposition, his own brethren.

Better than any rousing sports flick, this is a fascinating tale; one worthy of at least two bowls of popcorn.

I loved this film. It was so beautiful, hopeful and moving. I have never watched a movie that has changed my life like this one. It not only has a great script, acting and music but the message is so refreshing. I think that this film resonates with what bother Atheists most about mainstream Christians.It is not very often that you get a new perspective of hell and God's grace. What is even more awesome is that this is a true story I am betting the dislikes are from the people Mr.Fudge went up against in real life. Regardless this is a must see and a must share. I will definitely be watching this again. I wish it was in more theaters around the world.

A movie with real substance!!

To be forthcoming, I went into the movie theater intrigued to learn about Edward Fudge's view of hell and the Scriptures that influenced his newfound conclusions that proved violently unpopular with the religious leaders of his own brotherhood. But his story was familiar. Where had I seen it before? As the plot unfolded, what took center stage for me were the vivid reminders that surprisingly propelled me back in time 2,000 years ago. For I recalled reading in Scripture how the Son of God Himself was confronted by the religious leaders of His day who had "seated themselves in the chair of Moses." As a result, their lust for power and control blinded them from seeing the incarnate Truth Who stood right in front of them or accepting the much simpler message of God's truth. I had often wondered why the Holy Spirit thought I needed to know about the confrontations between Jesus and the religious leaders. Just so I would know that it happened? Or to prepare those who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus for the same thing? "Hell and Mr. Fudge" answered that question.

Along with the Bible itself, the story of Edward Fudge encouraged me to desire God's truth and seek it, knowing that truth will be unpopular with those who have become content to hide behind the ritualized religious systems built around the commandments of men. The best line of the movie came from Fudge's dad, who said, "If the Bible says it, it's true--even if the whole world is against it."

How one feels about God's word has no bearing on its truth. Yet, I was touched at how a young Edward Fudge (played by Cody Sullivan) struggled to embrace a church doctrine that would see a loving God torturing the souls of unbelievers for all eternity. Both Sullivan and Astin brought convincing portrayals of deep emotion that kept me connected. Two solid thumbs up!

No such a thing as hell

Mackenzie Astin stars in this autobiographical film on the life of one Alan Fudge who became a minister and then started preaching some most heretical doctrines. Heretical that is to evangelical Protestantism. Fudge after doing much research says that there just isn't any such a place called hell.

That biblical verse on which you see emblazoned on many a Tee shirt, John 3:16 about God so loving the world that he gave his only begotten son, etc. is taken by Fudge to be a blanket pardon. No doctrine has to be accepted, no behavior modified or changed, simply accept the pardon and heaven is your's. As you can imagine that upsets a few pious and self righteous minds.

Fudge went through quite a lot for this belief, eventually according to the movie postscript he left the ministry and now practices law. A profession itself that has many doctrines.

Astin turned in a very good job in the title role. This is an interesting and different Christian film you might want to check out.

An introduction to the God you'd been yearning for

This is a story of a man coming to grips with a new reality about the nature of his God. It is one of the most profound stories ever told because it uncovers a view of God revealed in Scripture that has been muddled by age-old false doctrine which is not easily shed by those whose tradition embraces it. Be warned: if you opt to take this red pill, your life will be forever changed, your eyes opened and you will encounter the face of the God who truly is love and who wants to save and have relationship. You may also encounter the wrath of your fellow man, reticent to embrace this truth because they choose to follow the dim light of an orthodoxy that slanders God's grace-full and righteous nature. As the good book says, the wages of sin is truly death, not eternal life. Only our Lord Yeshua (transliterated Jesus) has the words of eternal life, and those are a free gift for those who choose them.
